Specifically designed for the data center spine, it offers large buffers and substantial routing table sizes, making it versatile for various applications including IP storage, demilitarized zones (DMZ), big data, and edge routing. The switch features a compact 1-Rack-Unit (1RU) form factor and provides comprehensive Layer 2 and Layer 3 functionalities, operating on the industry-leading Cisco® NX-OS Software as part of the R-Series family.
