Cisco Firepower 2100

The Cisco Firepower 2100 Series is a family of four high-performance, threat-focused security appliances designed to deliver advanced network protection with consistent performance even when deep inspection and advanced threat features are enabled. Built for enterprise networks, the series is suitable for deployment at the Internet edge, branch locations, or within data centre environments. These platforms utilise a dual multi-core CPU architecture that separates firewall processing, cryptographic operations, and threat inspection. This design allows organisations to maintain stable throughput while enabling advanced capabilities such as intrusion prevention, application control, malware protection, and encrypted traffic inspection. Firepower 2100 devices can operate using either Cisco Secure Firewall ASA software or Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD), providing flexibility for organisations transitioning from traditional firewall deployments to next-generation security platforms. Systems can also be configured in firewall mode or as dedicated intrusion prevention systems (IPS).

FPR-2110 – Firewall throughput up to 3 Gbps, NGFW and IPS throughput up to 2.6 Gbps.
FPR-2120 – Firewall throughput up to 6 Gbps, NGFW throughput up to 3.4 Gbps, IPS throughput up to 3.5 Gbps.
FPR-2130 – Firewall throughput up to 10 Gbps with NGFW and IPS throughput up to 5.4 Gbps.
FPR-2140 – Firewall throughput up to 20 Gbps with NGFW and IPS throughput exceeding 10 Gbps.
