The Cisco C8221L-G2 is a compact, high-performance secure router designed for enterprise branch, WAN edge and Cisco SD-WAN deployments. Part of the Cisco 8200 Series Secure Routers, it combines advanced routing, security and SD-WAN capabilities with a flexible combination of 10 Gigabit Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces.
The C8221L-G2 provides two 10GE RJ-45 ports for high-speed WAN connectivity and eight 1GE RJ-45 ports for LAN and additional network connections. Its compact desktop form factor makes it suitable for space-constrained branch environments while providing the performance required for modern enterprise networking.
Built for demanding WAN environments, the C8221L-G2 supports advanced routing, IPsec VPN, Quality of Service (QoS), deep packet inspection and Flexible NetFlow. Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN capabilities allow organisations to centrally manage connectivity, security and application performance across distributed branch networks.
The router supports up to 1.5 million IPv4/IPv6 routes, 700 IPsec tunnels, 4,000 VRF instances and 1.5 million NAT sessions, providing substantial scalability for enterprise deployments.
