The Cisco C9550-32C is a high-performance 1RU Smart Switch designed for enterprise campus core, distribution and aggregation networks. Built on Cisco Silicon One E104 ASIC technology and powered by Cisco IOS XE, it combines high-speed connectivity, advanced routing, security, telemetry and automation in a compact platform.
The C9550-32C features 32 QSFP ports supporting high-density 100G and 40G connectivity, making it well suited to aggregating multiple high-speed access switches and connecting enterprise campus networks to high-bandwidth backbones. The platform delivers up to 3.2 Tbps full-duplex switching capacity and up to 2.6 billion packets per second of forwarding performance.
The C9550-32C is primarily designed for the core and distribution layers of medium to large enterprise campus networks. It can also operate as a fabric border or aggregation switch, providing a high-bandwidth consolidation point for multiple 40G and 100G QSFP-based connections.
Its Cisco IOS XE operating environment provides model-driven programmability, streaming telemetry, software patching and support for cloud-managed, on-premises and hybrid operations. Built-in application hosting capabilities allow selected container-based applications to run directly on the switch, helping reduce reliance on additional infrastructure.
