Cisco Nexus 2348TQ 10GE

48 x 100MBASE-T and 1/10GBASE-T port host interfaces (RJ-45) and up to 6 QSFP+ 10/40
Gigabit Ethernet fabric interfaces; FCoE support up to 30m with Category 6a and 7 cables

The Cisco Nexus 2300 platform retains key features of the Cisco Nexus 2000 Series, offering unified management, vPC, vPC+, Enhanced vPC, and LAN/SAN convergence via FCoE. With true 40 Gigabit Ethernet support, enhanced buffers for traffic spikes, and unified port capability (starting 7.3 release on 2348UPQ with 5600 only), it suits highly virtualized, automated, and cloud environments.

The 1-Rack-Unit (1RU) Cisco Nexus 2300 fabric extenders are energy-efficient, providing front-to-back or back-to-front airflow options. They support 100 Mbps Ethernet, 1/10/40 Gbps Ethernet, Fibre Channel (starting 7.3 release on 2348UPQ with 5600 only), and FCoE, making them ideal for traditional data centers and large-scale virtualized cloud deployments.

The Nexus N2K-C2348TQ is a low-power platform ideal for 10GBASE-T migration, supporting high-density Ethernet environments. It features 48 x 100MBASE-T and 1/10GBASE-T ports, along with up to six 40-Gbps uplink ports. The 40-Gbps uplinks support BiDi optics, ensuring simple connectivity with existing cable plans while reducing power and solution costs. The Cisco Nexus 2348TQ is FCoE compatible and offers support for both forward and reverse airflow schemes. Forward airflow is beneficial for a switch placed on a hot aisle, while reverse airflow suits a switch on a cold aisle. The switch includes two 1+1 redundant hot-swappable power supplies and three hot-swappable independent fans, supporting 2+1 redundancy.
