Designed as a Clos fabric, the Cisco Nexus 9500 platform offers direct interconnections between N9K-X9736C-FX and other line cards and rear-mounted fabric modules. Even in the event of a fabric module loss, the switch continues to operate at reduced capacity, thanks to the remaining fabric modules providing switching capacity to the line cards.
